Crafting Sonic Excellence, One Driver at a Time:
At Bottega Audio, we embrace excellence by partnering with industry leaders in drivers technology. Our commitment to delivering unparalleled sound quality leads us to integrate cutting-edge drivers from Audio Technology and Scanspeak, both renowned Danish manufacturers, into our speaker systems.
Our meticulous selection process ensures that each driver, whether from Audio Technology or Scanspeak, meets our stringent standards for precision and performance. Specifically, we utilize Audio Technology drivers to deliver rich bass and vibrant midranges, while Scanspeak drivers excel in rendering crisp and detailed high frequencies

Design Purpose
(why are we doing it?)
(why are we doing it?)
Artful integration of all design elements is what makes our speakers success.
We are proud of our design achievements for each separate component of our speakers, but the real goal is to seamlessly integrate all individual speaker parts in one wholistic beautifully crafted loudspeaker.
It has to be beautiful, elegant, luxurious – we are Italians after all – filling every listening environment with grace and elegance. The most of all it has to fill the ambience with life-like warmth of music performance.
Our ultimate achievement is making the lucky owners of our speakers happy to get-up put their favourite tune on and start tapping, moving, shaking their bodies with excitement and ultimate happiness
Design Process
Our design process involves many steps, often being repeated for perfection purpose, but in general we follow four major steps:
1. Plan
The first step is critical for gathering information, requirements, and other data we need to make informed decisions later. We take following steps:
Define new project, speaker vision and our goal
Research audience/users
Impose intentional creative limits or “no compromise” approach
Research new techniques, latest engineering methods, materials, etc
Preliminary sketching & brainstorming: explore & evaluate data
Repeat all above if necessary to perfect it
2. Mock-Up or “Raw Speakers” manufacturing.
These are not painted and made to design measurements and size but in a way which allows changes if needed after initial listening tests.
Creating a “Raw Speaker” cabinet serves the purpose of testing and adjusting drivers as well as, crossover design and all-important placement.
We focus on measuring and eliminating diffraction and reflection anomalies, fine-tuning drivers positioning, deflection edges and angles of the cabinet.
Creative rough prototype cabinet is essential part of our in-house fine-tuning process and preliminary listening tests before final cabinets are made.
3. Build
We don’t believe our work is done after we have created and finalised “Raw Speaker”. We make sure our design is implemented and used correctly. Because of that, there are two additional steps in our design process.
Because of that, we employ professionals and partner with people implementing our designs to address any new issues that might pop up during production.
4. Measure
The final step is to measure how successful the design is during initial listening sessions. While good planning allows us to make informed decisions, no design is flawless and sometimes the listening environment changes. Because of that, we measure the performance of our speakers in laboratory, state-of-the-art listening hall, and average size living room space.
